The type of service your child receives is determined by their academic needs. We offer the following: test prep, educational therapy, K-12 tutoring, and online education.

• Test Prep: This service is geared towards students applying to private schools or high schools. Our tutors are well versed in comprehensive tests, such as the HSPT and ISEE, and SAT/ACT, and work with students individually to practice mastering content and test-taking skills.
• Educational Therapy: If your student has learning challenges and is having difficulty in a traditional classroom setting, they may be a candidate for educational therapy. With MiraculousMinds, your student will be given a personalized plan, targeting specific goals and adapting as necessary. 
• K-12 Tutoring: This service is mainly for after-school students. Whether in need of study skill support, guidance on tricky math problems, or motivation to finish an essay, our tutors enjoy supporting our students in their academics, encouraging them to give their best in all they do!
• Online Education: For students who have demanding schedules or who live far from our physical location, we offer the opportunity online! We understand students are busy and working around sports/extracurricular schedules can be a hassle. We offer online sessions via Lessonspace for students to get academic help wherever they are.  

There is a difference between tutoring and educational therapy. Tutoring provides academic support with individualized attention and reinforcement of concepts students may struggle with. This is usually done after school in an academic setting or can be accomplished with a tutor coming over to the client’s house. Educational therapy, however, has more pieces to it. With educational therapy, the students are addressing a certain area of concern, particularly addressing specific academic challenges (ex. dyslexia, dyscalculia) as well as behavioral challenges (ex. ADD, ADHD, autism). Depending on the frequency and severity of the challenge, students may see a specialist outside of school or homeschool in an environment that can cater to their individual needs.  

Yes! We pride ourselves on not only providing for our students academically, but holistically. Whether the student is preparing to test into a private school, needs reinforcement in figurative language, or has difficulty processing multistep word problems, we tailor our teaching to the particular needs and pacing of the student. Frequency of sessions also comes into consideration, depending on the severity and need for consistency. 

We provide progress reports for all our services. For test prep, students take a baseline test to identify which areas need reinforcement. For educational therapy, we offer written progress reports and session logs that outline strengths, areas for improvement, and plans for future sessions. Parents have the option to request updates or schedule feedback meetings. For K-12 tutoring, session logs record the material covered, student strengths, areas for improvement, and focus levels. This helps tutors make custom adjustments to support a positive learning experience.
